IF ever Elberen was a movie (a fantasy in my mind on many runs haha) who would work on it? Actors to character, muscial score, and director. Who would YOU like to play the actors is what I would be most interested in.

Not sure about Roveno (Peter Dinklage? Orlando Bloom? - they're not really cute enough though)

I'd want whoever my little blond avatar is to play Tain

Russell Crowe as Grond?

Oh, and of course Johnny Depp as Dennivar Razz

Russell Crowe as Grond would be perfect I think. Of course Grond would be CGI due to the fact he is 7'9 and not even human. Crowe's voice has such character to it.

But while Peter Dinklage is a splendid actor, with all current tech would Rov's actor have to be a little person?

Yeah and Crowe certainly has the raging temper for the part *sparkle*

No, but I think of him that way - and can't think of any actor who could play him the way I imagine him - not even Tyrion is right for the part : /

Hmm...let me see....

For Grond, I think Ron Perlman (the guy who played Hellboy) would be a step in the right direction. He's a great actor, and has the 'brutish' kind of features that would go really well with some cool makeup effects, which would be needed to bring Grond (and the other Trall) to life on screen. I dislike relying completely on CGI, myself. Smile

Tain is difficult. The actress would have to be able to pull off Tain's 1-2 punch of adorable sweetness and bitchy snarkiness. Naomi Watts, perhaps?

Roveno would have to be done using the same CGI 'shrinking' effect used in the LOTR films. If this were done, then I can think of no one better to fill the role than the obvious choice - Antonio Banderras.

Dennivar would have to be done JUST right. Michael Fassbender (who played Magneto in X-Men: First Class) would be an excellent choice. He's handsome, charismatic and has a voice that apparently makes women fling their panties at him wherever he goes. My second choice would be a young Jeremy Irons.

Razz
You guys - I don't watch TV and I don't watch new movies, nor do I keep up with current actors/actresses so my choices were limited.
I like your cast though, AdminGuy.

Oh wow! I had forgot about Perlman. He would be even better! Grond would be a mix of make-up and CGI I think. Trall are similar to humans in a few things but their build is a good lot difrent. I feel he could be brought to life as Gollum was, advanced motion capture. He is a 7'9 giant after all.

Elberen cast! (as it stands now)
Grond, Ron Perlman

Roveno, Antonio Banderess

Dev, Micheal Fassbender

Tain, Naiomi Watts

Andel, James Mcavory

Grandthanc, Robery Duvall

Karzeema, ?
Goliath, ?
Shallin, ?

James McAvoy would work as Andel, though his face isn't quite as angular as I would prefer for an Elden.

Karzeema - Kathy Bates (with makeup effects/CGI).

Goliath - Jason Momoa (with makeup effects/CGI).

Shallin - Amy Adams

Not sure I understand the question...?

I think to 'make' the Trall, they would simply use makeup effects for the 'look' and then, using CGI, they would simply make them larger. Or, depending on the budget, they could just go completely CGI and make them similar to the cave trolls found in the LOTR films.

Was this what you meant?

More or less. I feel that they have a human enough form to be done with makeup. Some of their actions may have to be full CGI, such as Grond crawling down the mage tower (one of my favorites images so far in fact). And they would have to have some pretty ripped actors play these guys haha.

Ok, so actors are nailed.

Musical score? If anyone mentions Enya, they will be shot.

Repeatedly.

It's incredibly difficult to find a single style of music that encompasses everything Elberen is about. Maybe it would be best if we started throwing out some adjectives to describe Elberen?

If you were introducing someone to the world of Elberen for the very first time, what sort of words would you use? Forget that it's a game or fictional story. What if you were the tour guide to Elberen. What words would you use to describe this world and its' people?

I don't really see Enya music anywhere in Elberen - so you can relax and breathe now.

I'm thinking the following artists for the musical score:

Faun (minus the vocals, which are all in German)

The Moon And The Night Spirit (minus the vocals, which are all in Hungarian)

Two Steps From Hell

Howard Shore

Adam Hurst

Martine Lund Hoel

Jerry Goldsmith
